Upgrade Quantum to Rhea

Before Upgrade

On XiVO PBX

N.A.

On XiVO CC

N.A

On MDS

The XDS upgrade procedure changed: the Media Servers no longer need to be stopped before the XiVO Main upgrade, and their database is rebuilt instead of being migrated, which loses their local call_log table and the cel and queue_log rows not sent to the XiVO CC yet. Check the statistics summary displayed before the upgrade. Follow Upgrading XDS.

On Edge

Install and configure automatic security updates, see 2. Security Updates Setup.

On Meeting Rooms

Install and configure automatic security updates, see 2. Security Updates Setup.

Fix the ownership of the Jitsi configuration directories:

Important

You need to run those commands to have the correct ownership on the configuration if you are coming from a version before Rhea.

CONFIG=$(grep -E '^CONFIG=' /etc/docker/meetingrooms/.env | cut -d= -f2-)
mkdir -p "${CONFIG}/storage/web" "${CONFIG}/storage/prosody"
for component in web prosody transcripts storage; do
  [ -d "${CONFIG}/${component}" ] && chown -R 1000:1000 "${CONFIG}/${component}"
done

After Upgrade

On XiVO CC

  • Postfix is now installed and configured as a satellite of the XiVO PBX, so that mails sent by the XiVO CC (e.g. the security updates report) are relayed by the XiVO PBX. The previous postfix configuration was backed up in /var/tmp/YYYYMMDD-xivo-<version>-postfix-conf-backup and replaced. If a relay host was already configured, it was replaced by the XiVO PBX (a warning was displayed during the upgrade).

    Check the new postfix configuration on the XiVO CC:

    postconf relayhost myorigin mydestination inet_interfaces
    cat /etc/mailname

    Check that the XiVO CC IP address was added to the mynetworks option on the XiVO PBX (the upgrade does it via SSH, otherwise it displays a warning):

    postconf mynetworks

    If it is missing, follow the SMTP relay configuration procedure on the XiVO PBX with the XiVO CC IP address.
