xivo-confd

xivo-confd is a HTTP server that provides a RESTful API service for configuring and managing basic resources on a XiVO server.

Configuration

The main configuration file is /etc/xivo-confd/config.yml. It should not be modified directly: add a file in /etc/xivo-confd/conf.d/ to override any of its options.

Directory search similarity threshold

The internal directory falls back to a fuzzy search when the regular search returns nothing. The similarity_threshold option sets how similar a user must be to the searched term to be returned, as a number greater than 0 and lower than or equal to 1. Lowering it returns more results but less relevant ones, raising it returns fewer but closer matches.

For example, to make the fuzzy search stricter, create /etc/xivo-confd/conf.d/directory.yml:

directory:
    similarity_threshold: 0.3

Then restart xivo-confd:

systemctl restart xivo-confd

The threshold applies to every directory source querying this xivo-confd, including the xivo back-end of xivo-dird.

Meeting rooms are searched directly in the database rather than through xivo-confd, so this option does not apply to them. They have their own threshold, set on the xivo_meetingroom back-end.
