Overview
--------

XiVO Connect is a sovereign collaborative communication module developed on top of XiVO PBX.  
It combines instant messaging, video conferencing, file sharing and IP telephony in a unified interface.  
It is a customized soft-fork of **Element**, built on top of the **Matrix** protocol and deeply integrated with the XiVO ecosystem.

Functional Objectives
---------------------

- Provide a **100% French**, open-source and sovereign alternative to proprietary collaborative platforms.
- Ensure **data protection** through end-to-end encryption.
- Offer full **mobility**: accessible from web browser, desktop application, and mobile app.
- Centralize all communications (chat, voice, video) and documents within a single tool, with **Nextcloud** integration for file storage and sharing.
- Integrate with XiVO telephony: calls are handled directly inside Connect, and call history is available from the interface.
